27.20 kWp in Viseu: the MO Cozinhas solar project in numbers

27.20 kWp of solar at an industrial facility in Viseu. 36% of demand met by on-site generation, a 29% lower electricity bill and 335 tonnes of CO₂ avoided over the system's lifetime.

Location
Viseu, Portugal
Scope
Solar self-consumption

7,175 MWh over its lifetime. 335 tonnes of CO₂ avoided. 29% reduction in the electricity bill. These are not targets - they are the numbers from the system Enbiente installed at MO Cozinhas. The energy transition, here, is measurable.

Context

Solar energy driving efficiency and sustainability.

MO Cozinhas, a Portuguese company specialising in the manufacture, installation and sale of kitchens, wardrobes and bathrooms, took a decisive step towards its energy transition with the installation of a 27.20 kWp solar photovoltaic system - reinforcing its commitment to energy efficiency, cost reduction and environmental sustainability.

Challenge

The challenge

Install a high-performance photovoltaic system able to cover a significant share of the building's energy needs, with measurable returns and discreet integration into the existing installation.

  • 36% of energy needs covered by solar
  • ↓29% reduction in monthly electricity costs
Process

Design and installation

Enbiente designed and implemented a system optimised for maximum energy performance, ensuring discreet architectural integration, high-quality components and continuous performance monitoring.

  • 27.20 kWp photovoltaic system
  • Annual yield of 38% - high performance and reliability
  • 36% of the building's energy needs covered by solar
  • Estimated production of 7,175 MWh over the system's lifetime
  • Discreet and efficient architectural integration
  • Continuous performance monitoring and specialist technical support
Result

The result

With the system installed, MO Cozinhas reduces monthly electricity costs by 29%, avoids 335 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, and offsets the equivalent of 11,150 trees planted over the system's lifetime. More than a photovoltaic installation, this project shows how solar energy transforms companies - making them more efficient, responsible and future-ready.
