Grupo FTD Terras do Demo - EV charging infrastructure and energy audit
Six EV charging points installed for the Grupo FTD Terras do Demo fleet in Armamar, with an energy audit to prepare the next round of efficiency investments.
An electric fleet without infrastructure is just a different cost. At Grupo FTD Terras do Demo, the starting point was understanding what the facilities needed to become before deciding how many chargers to install. The audit came first; the infrastructure followed.
An electric fleet demands infrastructure to match.
Electrifying a fleet does not begin with buying the vehicles. It begins with the infrastructure that supports them. As combustion vehicles were progressively replaced by electric ones, Grupo FTD Terras do Demo needed to guarantee daily, simultaneous, and safe charging. The existing facilities were not prepared to handle the increased energy demand or the logistics of a new electric fleet.
The challenge
Develop a robust and scalable infrastructure able to ensure vehicle availability, avoid operational constraints, and accommodate the group's future growth in electric mobility.
- 6 EV charging points installed
- 100% compatibility with the electric fleet
Design and installation
Enbiente carried out the technical sizing of the infrastructure and implemented a solution designed to ensure efficient and safe charging, even under simultaneous use.
- Installation of five Raedian chargers dedicated to the operational fleet
- Installation of one Tesla charger for clients, suppliers, and visitors
- Infrastructure optimised for simultaneous charging
- System designed to ensure energy balance and protection of the internal grid
- Energy audit of the facilities to identify improvement opportunities and prepare future efficiency investments
The result
Grupo FTD Terras do Demo now has a modern infrastructure ready to support the electrification of its fleet. The implemented solution ensures daily vehicle availability, reduces downtime, and delivers a more efficient and sustainable operation. More than installing chargers, this project laid the foundations for reliable electric mobility - built to grow and keep pace with the group's evolving needs.
