Colina Verde - residential solar self-consumption with Enphase microinverters
1.6 kWp residential photovoltaic system with Enphase microinverters at a home in Colina Verde, Viseu. A compact, efficient solution built to grow.
Energy independence does not require large installations. Sometimes it begins with a simple, efficient solution built to grow. In Colina Verde, in Viseu, the goal was to produce a share of the energy consumed daily right where it is used - reducing grid dependence and making the most of the available sun.
Producing energy where it is consumed.
With steady consumption and a growing concern over electricity costs, the owners were looking for a reliable, easy-to-monitor solution able to adapt to the home's needs and keep pace with future expansion.
The challenge
Implement a compact, highly efficient system able to optimise each panel's output and provide detailed monitoring of the installation's performance.
- 1,6 kWp installed power
- 4 Enphase microinverters
Design and installation
Enbiente designed a residential self-consumption solution based on Enphase technology, prioritising efficiency, reliability, and flexibility.
- Photovoltaic system of four 400 W panels
- Total installed power of 1.6 kWp
- Four Enphase microinverters for individual optimisation of each panel's output
- Enphase gateway for intelligent monitoring and management of the system
- Architecture ready for future expansion
The result
The home now produces part of the energy it consumes each day, reducing grid dependence and benefiting from detailed, real-time production monitoring. More than a photovoltaic installation, this project shows that the energy transition can begin at the scale of a single home, through simple, intelligent solutions ready to evolve with their users' needs.
