With electricity prices rising, more consumers are looking to reduce costs and gain energy autonomy. Installing a photovoltaic system enables immediate savings and the sale of surplus energy.
Advantages of solar self-consumption
Self-consumption provides bill savings, clean energy production, greater grid independence, return on investment and property value increase.
What is surplus production?
During the day, a photovoltaic system can produce more energy than is consumed. In systems without batteries, this surplus is injected into the grid and can be sold to energy suppliers.
How to sell surplus energy
The process involves installing the self-consumption unit with a certified company, registering the system with DGEG, requesting a bidirectional meter, obtaining a producer CPE and registering the activity with the tax authority.
Once everything is ready, compare supplier proposals and sign the purchase and sale contract.
Practical example
A system with 500 kWh/month of surplus sold at €0.08/kWh can generate around €480 per year.
Enbiente simplifies the process
Enbiente handles sizing, installation, legalisation, technical processes with the entities involved and monitoring of energy profitability.
