Enbiente is developing an innovative Smart Home System that will monitor several household parameters in real time, such as electrical current, temperature and humidity, helping users manage energy consumption and save on electricity bills.

A project developed with national talent

The Smart Home Project is being developed by Gonçalo Teixeira, an Enbiente intern and third-year Computer Engineering student at ESTGV.

This project comes from collaboration between the company and academia, reinforcing Enbiente’s commitment to innovation and to training young talent in the fields of energy and technology.

How the Smart Home System works

The goal is to create an intelligent and intuitive device capable of providing real-time data on home operation.

The information collected will include:

  • Electrical current, for real-time consumption monitoring;
  • Ambient temperature, for thermal comfort control;
  • Humidity, for monitoring indoor conditions.

This data will be transmitted to an Enbiente digital platform, where users can view daily, weekly and monthly energy consumption through interactive charts and tables.

Simple hardware, quick installation

The project development includes several hardware prototyping stages, aiming to create a small, easy-to-install and easy-to-use plug-and-play device.

The idea is that any user can install the system without specialised technical support, helping democratise household energy monitoring.

Enbiente software and platform

The software component will be responsible for acquiring, transmitting and displaying the collected data.

On the Enbiente platform, users will be able to:

  • Consult electrical consumption history;
  • Analyse usage patterns;
  • Receive abnormal consumption alerts;
  • Implement energy-saving strategies.

As a result, every home equipped with the Smart Home system becomes more efficient, sustainable and connected.
